G\u00fcn\u00fcn \u00f6nemine binaen konu\u015fma yapan Gen\u00e7lik ve Spor \u0130l M\u00fcd\u00fcr vekili Ali R\u0131za Akarca, \u201cMilletimizin t\u00fcm onur ve asaletiyle, Mustafa Kemal Atat\u00fcrk\u2019\u00fcn \u00f6nderli\u011finde tarih sahnesindeki yerini almas\u0131 19 May\u0131s 1919 tarihidir. 19 May\u0131s sadece T\u00fcrk milli kurtulu\u015f harekat\u0131n\u0131n ba\u015flang\u0131c\u0131 de\u011fil yeni T\u00fcrk devletinin de \u00e7a\u011fda\u015f de\u011ferlerle, milletler ailesi i\u00e7indeki yerini almas\u0131n\u0131n ad\u0131d\u0131r.
