Etkinlik \u00f6ncesi konu\u015fma yapan AK\u00dc Rekt\u00f6r Yard\u0131mc\u0131s\u0131 Prof. Dr. Y\u0131lmaz Yal\u00e7\u0131n, yakla\u015f\u0131k olarak bin 200 fidan\u0131 toprakla bulu\u015fturacaklar\u0131n\u0131 ifade ederek \u00fcniversitenin sahip oldu\u011fu 3 milyon 708 bin metrekare toplan alan\u0131n 350 bin metrekaresinin a\u011fa\u00e7land\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015f durumda oldu\u011funu belirtti. Yal\u00e7\u0131n, \u201cGeri kalan arazinin a\u011fa\u00e7land\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flamak i\u00e7in bu tip etkinlikler \u00fcniversitenin kurulu\u015fundan beri yap\u0131l\u0131yor. 2000 y\u0131l\u0131nda Afyonkarahisar\u2019a geldi\u011fim zamanlar\u0131 hat\u0131rl\u0131yorum. Buralarda hi\u00e7bir \u015fey yoktu. Hatta \u00e7amurun i\u00e7inde y\u00fcr\u00fcd\u00fc\u011f\u00fcm\u00fc hat\u0131rl\u0131yorum. \u015eu an \u00e7ok g\u00fczel bir hale geldi ama var olan eksiklikleri de giderece\u011fiz. Orman Genel M\u00fcd\u00fcrl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fcn sayfas\u0131ndan g\u00f6r\u00fclece\u011fi \u00fczere Afyonkarahisar \u00e7ok a\u011fa\u00e7l\u0131k bir b\u00f6lge de\u011fil. 1 milyon 400 bin hektarl\u0131k alan\u0131n yakla\u015f\u0131k 278 bin hektar\u0131 ormanl\u0131k alan olarak ge\u00e7iyor.
