Sadece bitkisel kaynakl\u0131 besinler t\u00fcketilir. Ancak bu istedi\u011fimiz bir beslenme \u015fekli de\u011fildir. Proteinler bitkisel ve hayvansal kaynakl\u0131 besinlerde bulunur. Ancak \u00e7ocukluk d\u00f6nemi ve ya\u015fl\u0131l\u0131k d\u00f6neminde durum daha kritiktir. \u00c7ocukluk d\u00f6nemi fiziksel aktivitenin art\u0131\u015f\u0131 ile birlikte enerjiye olan ihtiyac\u0131n artt\u0131\u011f\u0131, b\u00fcy\u00fcme ve geli\u015fmenin h\u0131zland\u0131\u011f\u0131, doku yap\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n artt\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir d\u00f6nem oldu\u011fundan,sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 beslenmenin sa\u011flanmas\u0131 olduk\u00e7a \u00f6nemli olmakla birlikte sadece bitkisel beslenme ile bu d\u00f6nemde ihtiya\u00e7 duyulan gereksinimler sa\u011flanamamaktad\u0131r. Ya\u015fl\u0131l\u0131k d\u00f6nemi ise doku yap\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n ve yenilenmesinin azald\u0131\u011f\u0131, v\u00fccuttaki katabolizman\u0131n ve hastal\u0131klara kar\u015f\u0131 yatk\u0131nl\u0131\u011f\u0131n artt\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir d\u00f6nem oldu\u011fu i\u00e7in bu d\u00f6nemde olu\u015fabilecek komplikasyonlar\u0131 en aza indirgemek ad\u0131na bireylere g\u00f6re de\u011fi\u015fiklik g\u00f6stermekle birlikte karbonhidrat, protein ve ya\u011f al\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n dengeli ve yeterli olmas\u0131na dikkat edilmelidir. Ancak beslenme \u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcs\u00fcnde sadece hayvansal kaynakl\u0131 besinlere yer vermek de do\u011fru bir yakla\u015f\u0131m de\u011fildir. Hayvansal kaynakl\u0131 besinlerin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra ekmek grubu, sebze-meyve grubu ve ya\u011f grubunun da dengeli ve yeterli oranda bulunmas\u0131 gerekir. Sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 bireylerde (hastal\u0131klara g\u00f6re beslenme tedavisi de\u011fi\u015fir) g\u00fcnl\u00fck beslenmede karbonhidratlar\u0131n y\u00fczde 55-60 oran\u0131nda, proteinlerin y\u00fczde 12-15 oran\u0131nda, ya\u011flar\u0131n ise y\u00fczde 25-30 oran\u0131nda bulunmas\u0131 gereklidir.
