Tar\u0131mdan hayvanc\u0131l\u0131\u011fa, t\u00fcketim \u00fcr\u00fcnlerinden g\u0131da g\u00fcvenli\u011fine, savunma sanayinden uzaya, havac\u0131l\u0131ktan elektrik \u00fcretimine kadar pek \u00e7ok alanda kullan\u0131lan n\u00fckleer teknolojinin \u00f6nemli alanlar\u0131ndan birini de sa\u011fl\u0131k sekt\u00f6r\u00fc olu\u015fturuyor. Kanser, kalp hastal\u0131klar\u0131, n\u00f6rolojik bozukluklar gibi \u00e7e\u015fitli hastal\u0131klar\u0131n tan\u0131 ve tedavisinde n\u00fckleer teknolojilerden faydalan\u0131l\u0131rken, Hacettepe \u00dcniversitesi N\u00fckleer Enerji M\u00fchendisli\u011fi B\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc \u00d6\u011fretim Eleman\u0131 Dr. Mehmet T\u00fcrkmen, n\u00fckleer teknoloji ve kanser tedavisine ili\u015fkin a\u00e7\u0131klamalarda bulundu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cN\u00fckleer tesisler \u00fclke i\u00e7inde olmal\u0131\u201d<\/p>\n<p>N\u00fckleer reakt\u00f6rlerin \u00fclke i\u00e7inde olmas\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6nemine dikkat \u00e7eken T\u00fcrkmen, \u201cAra\u015ft\u0131rma reakt\u00f6rleri, radyoterapinin yap\u0131 ta\u015flar\u0131ndan olan radyoizotoplar\u0131n \u00fcretimi ve hastaya zaman\u0131nda ula\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 bak\u0131m\u0131ndan son derece \u00f6nemli. G\u00fcnde yakla\u015f\u0131k 140 bin n\u00fckleer t\u0131p uygulamas\u0131n\u0131n ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirildi\u011fi d\u00fcnyada, \u00fcretilen izotoplar\u0131n y\u00fczde 90\u2019\u0131 hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131n te\u015fhisi i\u00e7in kullan\u0131lmakta olup \u00f6nemli tedarik\u00e7iler Fransa, Kanada, Rusya, ABD, Avrupa\u2019d\u0131r. Bu izotoplar do\u011fada bulunmad\u0131klar\u0131 i\u00e7in de en geli\u015fmi\u015f teknolojiye sahip tesislerde \u00fcretilmek zorunda. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla kanserle amans\u0131z m\u00fccadelemizi s\u00fcrd\u00fcrebilmemiz i\u00e7in n\u00fckleer teknolojiye g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc \u015fekilde ihtiya\u00e7 duyuyoruz. \u00dcstelik dakikalar mertebesine varabilen k\u0131sa yar\u0131 \u00f6m\u00fcrleri nedeniyle \u00fcretildikten \u00e7ok k\u0131sa s\u00fcre i\u00e7erisinde hastaya ula\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmalar\u0131 gerekmekte. Bu y\u00fczden baz\u0131 n\u00fckleer tesisin \u00fclke i\u00e7erisinde kurulmas\u0131 zorunlulu\u011fu var. Kanser tedavisinde n\u00fckleer reakt\u00f6rlere ba\u011f\u0131ml\u0131 oldu\u011fumuzu s\u00f6yleyebilirim\u201d diye konu\u015ftu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKanserin panzehiri radyasyon\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Radyasyonun canl\u0131 h\u00fccreleri etkileyebilece\u011fini s\u00f6yleyen Dr. T\u00fcrkmen, \u201cAncak bu etki tedavi ama\u00e7l\u0131 da kullan\u0131labilir\u201d de\u011ferlendirmesinde bulundu. T\u0131pk\u0131, zehirlenme vakalar\u0131nda panzehirin yine zehrin kendisi oldu\u011fu gibi, kanser tedavilerinde radyasyonun tam da bu etkisi kullan\u0131l\u0131r.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRadyoterapide ba\u015far\u0131 \u015fans\u0131 y\u00fcksek\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Radyoterapide ba\u015far\u0131 oran\u0131n\u0131n, kanser tiplerine ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak y\u00fczde 100\u2019e kadar \u00e7\u0131kabildi\u011fini vurgulayan T\u00fcrkmen, \u201cD\u00fcnyadaki kanser oranlar\u0131na bakt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131zda Avusturalya en \u00fcst s\u0131rada yer al\u0131r. Onu, Yeni Zelanda, \u0130rlanda, Romanya ve ABD takip etmektedir. T\u00fcrkiye ise bu s\u0131ralamada ilk 50\u2019de bile de\u011fildir. D\u00fcnyada her 10 ki\u015fiden 2\u2019si kanserden \u00f6lmektedir. D\u00fcnya genelinde en s\u0131k g\u00f6r\u00fclen kanser t\u00fcrleri ise akci\u011fer, g\u00f6\u011f\u00fcs, kal\u0131n ba\u011f\u0131rsak, prostat, cilt ve midedir. Kanser t\u00fcrlerinin bu kadar \u00e7e\u015fitli oldu\u011fu yerde tedavinin de \u00e7abuk ve etkili olmas\u0131 gerekir. Bu konuda, ne\u015ftersiz bir tedavi y\u00f6ntemi olan radyoterapi, bug\u00fcn d\u00fcnya genelinde g\u00f6\u011f\u00fcs, tiroit, rahim ve prostat i\u00e7in hastalar\u0131n neredeyse tamam\u0131, testis ve hodgkin lenfoma i\u00e7in y\u00fczde 95 ve melanom i\u00e7in y\u00fczde 92 ba\u015far\u0131 oranlar\u0131 ile olduk\u00e7a iyi bir yerdedir. Tedavi i\u00e7in gama \u0131\u015f\u0131nlar\u0131, elektronlar, protonlar, n\u00f6tronlar gibi atom alt\u0131 par\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131n neredeyse tamam\u0131 kullan\u0131l\u0131yor. Bu par\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131 \u00fcretmek i\u00e7in en geli\u015fmi\u015f ara\u015ft\u0131rma reakt\u00f6rlerine ve h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131lara ihtiya\u00e7 var. ABD ve Avrupa\u2019da bir\u00e7ok hastanede ara\u015ft\u0131rma ve e\u011fitim reakt\u00f6rleri hastane b\u00fcnyelerinde yer al\u0131yor. Hastalar, reakt\u00f6r i\u00e7erisinde tedavi ediliyor. Bizim \u00fclkemizdeki 2 ara\u015ft\u0131rma reakt\u00f6r\u00fc ise tedavi ama\u00e7l\u0131 kullan\u0131lm\u0131yor. Bunlar\u0131n yerine 100\u2019\u00fcn \u00fczerindeki radyoterapi merkezinde daha kompakt ve nispeten daha ucuz olan x-ray cihazlar\u0131 ve h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131lardan yararlan\u0131l\u0131yor\u201d \u015feklinde konu\u015ftu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cN\u00fckleer tesisin \u00fclke i\u00e7inde kurulmas\u0131 zorunlu\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cG\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde n\u00fckleer teknoloji seviyesi ile \u00fcretilemeyecek neredeyse hi\u00e7bir radyoizotop yoktur\u201d diyen T\u00fcrkmen, n\u00fckleer t\u0131p uygulamalar\u0131ndaki d\u0131\u015fa ba\u011f\u0131ml\u0131l\u0131k sorunun \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fclmesi gerekti\u011fine dikkat \u00e7ekti. T\u00fcrkmen, \u201cN\u00fckleer reakt\u00f6rlerde kullan\u0131lan g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleme cihazlar\u0131, detekt\u00f6rler, dozimetreler, z\u0131rhlama malzemeleri gibi teknolojik \u00fcr\u00fcnlerin tamam\u0131 n\u00fckleer t\u0131p alan\u0131nda da kullan\u0131l\u0131yor. Dolay\u0131s\u0131yla bir alandaki geli\u015fme di\u011fer alan\u0131n da geli\u015fmesine yard\u0131mc\u0131 olacakt\u0131r. I\u015f\u0131n tedavilerinde kullan\u0131lan do\u011frusal h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131 cihazlar\u0131n, radyasyon dozu \u00f6l\u00e7en dozimetrelerin ve yine radyasyon \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcm\u00fcnde kullan\u0131lan detekt\u00f6rlerin tamam\u0131 yurt d\u0131\u015f\u0131ndan sipari\u015f ediliyor. Baz\u0131 izotoplar ara\u015ft\u0131rma reakt\u00f6rleri olmadan yeterli miktarda \u00fcretilemiyor; h\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131lar da az miktarda fakat pahal\u0131ya \u00fcretiliyor. Radyoizotoplar, \u00e7ok k\u0131sa s\u00fcre i\u00e7erisinde hastaya ula\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmak zorunda. \u00d6rne\u011fin, karaci\u011fer kanseri tedavisinde kullan\u0131lan itriyum-90 izotopunun radyoaktivite seviyesi 64 saat i\u00e7inde yar\u0131ya d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcyor. \u00dclkemizde, geni\u015f \u00e7apl\u0131 n\u00fckleer uygulamalar\u0131n ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilebilece\u011fi bir ara\u015ft\u0131rma ve e\u011fitim reakt\u00f6r\u00fcne ihtiya\u00e7 var. N\u00fckleer tesisin \u00fclke i\u00e7erisinde kurulmas\u0131 zorunlu. D\u00fcnyada her y\u0131l 50 milyona yak\u0131n n\u00fckleer t\u0131p uygulamas\u0131 ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftiriliyor, radyoizotop ihtiyac\u0131 y\u0131ll\u0131k y\u00fczde 5 oran\u0131nda art\u0131yor. N\u00fckleer t\u0131p radyoizotop market b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc 11 milyar dolara ula\u015ft\u0131. \u0130zotop \u00fcretim teknolojilerinde \u00f6nemli bir oyuncu olmak i\u00e7in \u00fclkemizde gerekli giri\u015fimlerin acilen ba\u015flat\u0131lmas\u0131 gerekiyor\u201d ifadelerini kulland\u0131.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeni tedavi y\u00f6ntemleri i\u00e7in n\u00fckleer teknoloji \u015fart\u201d<\/p>\n<p>N\u00fckleer teknolojilerin kanserle m\u00fccadelede \u00e7ok \u00f6nemli geli\u015fmelere gebe oldu\u011funa dikkat \u00e7eken T\u00fcrkmen, \u201cI\u015f\u0131n tedavisi yap\u0131lacak b\u00f6lgede kanserli h\u00fccrelerin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra bir miktar sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 h\u00fccre de ka\u00e7\u0131n\u0131lmaz olarak \u0131\u015f\u0131nlan\u0131r. Do\u011frudan ve sadece kanserli h\u00fccreleri yok etme fikrine dayanan \u2018Bor N\u00f6tron Yakalama Tedavisi\u2019nin \u00f6n\u00fcm\u00fczdeki birka\u00e7 on y\u0131l i\u00e7inde bu soruna \u00e7are olmas\u0131n\u0131 bekliyoruz. Ayr\u0131ca, ki\u015fiselle\u015ftirilmi\u015f t\u0131p uygulamalar\u0131 ile kanserin te\u015fhisi, v\u00fccut i\u00e7indeki konumu, da\u011f\u0131l\u0131m\u0131 ve b\u00fcy\u00fckl\u00fc\u011f\u00fc kesin olarak belirlenecek; ki\u015fiye \u00f6zel tedavi plan\u0131 haz\u0131rlanabilecek ve hasta daha az radyasyona maruz kalarak h\u0131zl\u0131ca tedavi edilebilecek. Tedavi maliyetleri azalacak; ba\u015far\u0131 oranlar\u0131 ciddi miktarda artacak.
