Prof. Dr. Sezgin, t\u0131p dergisi Annals of Internal Medicine\u2019in Temmuz 2019 say\u0131s\u0131nda yay\u0131nlanan ve yakla\u015f\u0131k 1 milyon ki\u015fiyi kapsayan bir ara\u015ft\u0131rman\u0131n ise yayg\u0131n olarak \u00f6nerilen ve kullan\u0131lan vitamin, mineral ve diyetlerin kalp hastal\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6nlenmesinde katk\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7ok s\u0131n\u0131rl\u0131 oldu\u011funu ortaya koydu\u011funu belirterek, \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n sonu\u00e7lar\u0131 hakk\u0131nda \u015fu bilgileri verdi:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBu ara\u015ft\u0131rmada; kalp sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7in takviye g\u0131da almak ve diyet yapmakla ilgili faydal\u0131 bilinenlerden hi\u00e7birinin do\u011frudan faydal\u0131 oldu\u011funa dair kan\u0131t olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirtiyor. Tuz t\u00fcketiminin s\u0131n\u0131rland\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 normal kan bas\u0131nc\u0131na sahip ki\u015filerde t\u00fcm nedenlere ba\u011fl\u0131 \u00f6l\u00fcmleri azalt\u0131rken, y\u00fcksek kan bas\u0131nc\u0131 (hiper tansiyon) olan ki\u015filerde kardiyak sebeplere ba\u011fl\u0131 \u00f6l\u00fcmleri azalt\u0131yor ama t\u00fcm nedenlere ba\u011fl\u0131 \u00f6l\u00fcmleri \u00f6nlemiyor. Annals of Internal Medicine dergisinin Temmuz 2019 say\u0131s\u0131nda yay\u0131nlanan ara\u015ft\u0131rmaya g\u00f6re 992 bin 129 ki\u015fiyi kapsayan toplam 277 klinik deneyden elde edilen sonu\u00e7lar, \u00f6zellikle geli\u015fmi\u015f toplumlarda \u00e7ok s\u0131k kullan\u0131lan 16 ek vitaminden \u00e7ok az\u0131n\u0131n ve \u00f6nerilen 8 diyet \u015feklinden yaln\u0131zca birinin kalp sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131na d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck d\u00fczeyde katk\u0131 sa\u011flad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ortaya koyuyor. Ara\u015ft\u0131rman\u0131n sonu\u00e7lar\u0131ndan biri ise baz\u0131 vitamin ve minerallerin birlikte kullan\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n, d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclenin aksine fayda yerine zarara neden oldu\u011funu g\u00f6steriyor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sezgin, kalsiyumla birlikte D vitamini kullanman\u0131n kan p\u0131ht\u0131la\u015fmas\u0131n\u0131 ve damar sertli\u011fini art\u0131rarak inme riskini de ayn\u0131 \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde y\u00fckseltti\u011fini s\u00f6yleyerek, bu ara\u015ft\u0131rman\u0131n, 2013 y\u0131l\u0131nda yay\u0131nlanan ve kardiyovask\u00fcler kalp sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7in ek vitamin ve mineral kullanman\u0131n kalp sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131na \u00e7ok az etkisi oldu\u011funa i\u015faret eden raporu destekler nitelikte oldu\u011funu belirtti.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Dr. Sezgin, son ara\u015ft\u0131rman\u0131n sorumlusu West Virginia \u00dcniversitesi \u00d6\u011fretim \u00dcyesi Safi U. Kahn\u2019\u0131n d\u00fczenli olarak ek vitamin ve mineral kullananlar\u0131n \u00f6nemli bir b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fcn bo\u015funa bir \u00e7aba i\u00e7inde oldu\u011funa dikkat \u00e7ekerken Scripps Research Translational Institue kurucusu kardiyolog Prof. Dr. Eric Topol\u2019un ise bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n, ek vitamin ve mineral al\u0131m\u0131na ait hikayenin \u015f\u00fcpheli oldu\u011funa dair bulgular\u0131 g\u00fc\u00e7lendirdi\u011fini dile getirdi.<\/p>\n<p>Folik asit ve Omega 3 \u00f6ne \u00e7\u0131k\u0131yor<\/p>\n<p>24 ek vitamin, mineral ve diyet \u00e7e\u015fidinin incelendi\u011fi bu ara\u015ft\u0131rmada sadece bilimsel de\u011feri y\u00fcksek kontroll\u00fc \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar analiz kapsam\u0131na dahil edildi\u011fini kaydeden Prof. Dr. Alpay Turan Sezgin, \u015funlar\u0131 s\u00f6yledi:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBilimsel kan\u0131t\u0131 zay\u0131f olan g\u00f6zlemsel \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar ara\u015ft\u0131rmaya dahil edilmedi. Ara\u015ft\u0131rmada, kardiyovask\u00fcler koruma i\u00e7in \u00f6nerilen A, B, C, D ve E vitaminleri ile beta karoten, kalsiyum, demir, antioksidanlar ve multivitaminlerin hi\u00e7bir ek yarar\u0131 olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirledi. Yarar\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc kadar olmamakla birlikte folik asit ve Omega 3 ya\u011f asidi al\u0131m\u0131 ise \u00f6n plana \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. \u00d6zellikle folik asidin inme riskini azaltt\u0131\u011f\u0131, ara\u015ft\u0131rman\u0131n \u00c7in\u2019de yap\u0131lan aya\u011f\u0131nda ortaya \u00e7\u0131kt\u0131. Ancak \u00c7in vitamin eksikli\u011finin s\u0131k g\u00f6r\u00fcld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc bir \u00fclke oldu\u011fundan bu sonucun t\u00fcm \u00fclkeler i\u00e7in ge\u00e7erli kabul edilemeyece\u011fi d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcl\u00fcyor. \u00d6rne\u011fin, Amerika\u2019da yiyecekler vitamin B12 ile kuvvetlendirilmi\u015f oldu\u011fundan ek folik asit al\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n bir yarar\u0131 olup olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 net de\u011fil. Bal\u0131k ya\u011f\u0131 antienflamatuar \u00f6zelli\u011fi olan Omega 3 ya\u011f asidi i\u00e7in s\u0131k kullan\u0131lan takviye. Y\u00fcksek riskli hastalarda re\u00e7ete ile sat\u0131lan \u00e7ok y\u00fcksek doz purifiye Omega 3 kullan\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n kardiyovask\u00fcler sorunlar\u0131 azaltt\u0131\u011f\u0131 biliniyor. Fakat bu ara\u015ft\u0131rma i\u00e7erisinde bal\u0131k ya\u011f\u0131 ile yap\u0131lan di\u011fer kapsaml\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n sonucu hayal k\u0131r\u0131kl\u0131\u011f\u0131 olu\u015fturdu. B\u00fct\u00fcn tah\u0131l, fasulye, f\u0131nd\u0131k, meyve, sebze ve zeytinya\u011f\u0131ndan olu\u015fan Akdeniz tipi diyet de sa\u011fl\u0131k otoriteleri aras\u0131nda de\u011feri y\u00fcksek bir diyet olarak kabul edilmekteydi. Bu konuda yap\u0131lan klinik \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n bir k\u0131sm\u0131nda Akdeniz diyetinin kardiyovask\u00fcler riski azaltt\u0131\u011f\u0131 saptanm\u0131\u015fsa da baz\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fck \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarda asl\u0131nda etkisiz oldu\u011fu tespit edildi. Bu nedenle, Said U.
