1960-1975 y\u0131llar\u0131 aras\u0131nda Suriye s\u0131n\u0131r\u0131nda g\u00f6rev yaparken \u015fehit olan Kilis S\u0131n\u0131r Jandarma Alay\u0131nda g\u00f6rev yapan \u00e7ok say\u0131da asker Kilis Asri Mezarl\u0131kta defin edildi. O d\u00f6nemde ula\u015f\u0131m imkanlar\u0131n\u0131n k\u0131s\u0131tl\u0131 olmas\u0131 nedeniyle memleketlerine g\u00f6nderilemeyen \u015fehit askerler i\u00e7in \u015fehitlik olu\u015fturuldu. Kilis\u2019te eski \u015fehitlik olarak bilenen yere defin edilen askerlerin baz\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n mezarlar\u0131 aileleri taraf\u0131ndan yapt\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131. Mezar ta\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n dahi kaybolma noktas\u0131na geldi\u011fi \u015fehitlikteki \u015fehit Mehmet\u00e7iklerin mezarlar\u0131 g\u00f6ren vatanda\u015flar\u0131 y\u00fcreklerini par\u00e7al\u0131yor. Eski \u015fehitli\u011fe yak\u0131n aile mezarlar\u0131 olan vatanda\u015flar \u015fehitlerin mezarlar\u0131n\u0131 sulayarak bak\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 kendi imkanlar\u0131 ile yapmaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131yor.<\/p>\n
Abdurrahim Kiremit\u00e7i, \u015fehitlerin mezarlar\u0131n\u0131n bulundu\u011fu yerin eski \u015fehitlik olarak bilindi\u011fini ifade ederek, “O d\u00f6nemde ula\u015f\u0131m zorlu\u011fu oldu\u011fundan 1960-1970\u2019l\u0131 y\u0131llarda \u015fehit olan askerlerimizi buraya defin etmi\u015fler. Maalesef \u00fczerinden y\u0131llar ge\u00e7mi\u015f, unutulmu\u015f, yetkililer ilgilenmemi\u015f, \u00e7o\u011fu \u015fehidin mezar ta\u015f\u0131 dahi yok. Fatiha veren dahi yok, bizim mezar yerimizin \u015fehit mezarl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n yan\u0131nda oldu\u011fu i\u00e7in geldi\u011fimizde Fatiha okuyoruz. Mezarlar\u0131n\u0131 suluyoruz. \u00c7i\u00e7eklerini ekiyoruz.
