Harris, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019ye ziyaretinde kat\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 etkinlikte, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019nin ise y\u00fczde 4\u2019\u00fcn alt\u0131nda olmas\u0131yla en d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck Omega-3 indeksine sahip \u00fclkelerden biri oldu\u011funu s\u00f6yledi.<\/p>\n<p>Omega-3 alan\u0131nda yapm\u0131\u015f oldu\u011fu bilimsel \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalarla d\u00fcnyaca tan\u0131nan ve ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar\u0131 ABD\u2019de National Institute of Health taraf\u0131ndan desteklenen, G\u00fcney Dakota \u00dcniversitesi Sanford T\u0131p Fak\u00fcltesi akademisyenlerinden, Omega-3 uzman\u0131 olan Prof. William S. Harris, Farmavita taraf\u0131ndan d\u00fczenlenen Omega-3\u2019e Yenilik\u00e7i Yakla\u015f\u0131m konulu toplant\u0131ya konu\u015fmac\u0131 olarak kat\u0131ld\u0131. \u0130stanbul\u2019da ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilen, \u00c7ocuk Sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve Hastal\u0131klar\u0131 Uzman\u0131 Prof. Dr. Hilal Mocan\u2019\u0131n moderat\u00f6rl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fc yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve eczac\u0131lar\u0131n davetli oldu\u011fu toplant\u0131ya yo\u011fun ilgi g\u00f6sterildi.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Harris, Omega-3 ya\u011f asitlerinden EPA ve DHA\u2019n\u0131n gereklili\u011fini, kendi \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131n da yer ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 sunumuyla g\u00f6zler \u00f6n\u00fcne serdi. Sunumda; 24 binden fazla ki\u015finin EPA ve DHA \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcmlerinin sonu\u00e7lar\u0131na g\u00f6re haz\u0131rlanm\u0131\u015f Omega-3 index haritas\u0131n\u0131 da T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de ilk defa sundu\u011fu belirtilirken, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019deki ve di\u011fer bir\u00e7ok d\u00fcnya \u00fclkesindeki d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck Omega-3 seviyelerine dikkati \u00e7ekti.<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Dr. Hilal Mocan da \u00e7ocuk geli\u015fiminde hekimler taraf\u0131ndan yap\u0131lan sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 beslenme \u00f6nerilerinden bahsederek, \u00f6zellikle hangi g\u0131dalar\u0131n ve besin \u00f6\u011felerinin mutlaka beslenmede yer almas\u0131 gerekti\u011fini ve bu besin \u00f6\u011feleri aras\u0131nda Omega-3 ya\u011f asitleri EPA ve DHA\u2019n\u0131n \u00f6nemli bir yeri oldu\u011funu anlatt\u0131. Her iki uzman\u0131n da kendi uzmanl\u0131k alanlar\u0131 kapsam\u0131nda payla\u015ft\u0131klar\u0131 bilgilere ilave olarak, d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck Omega-3 seviyelerini y\u00fckseltebilmek amac\u0131yla, do\u011frudan EPA ve DHA al\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flayan bal\u0131\u011f\u0131n s\u0131kl\u0131kla beslenme program\u0131nda yer almas\u0131 veya bal\u0131k ya\u011f\u0131n\u0131n kullan\u0131m\u0131 ile istenen seviyeye ula\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fi ortak g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015f\u00fc sunuldu.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Haftada iki kere bal\u0131k t\u00fcketiminin gerekli seviyeye ula\u015fmakta yeterli de\u011fil&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Harris sunumunda ayr\u0131ca, Amerikan Kalp Derne\u011fi\u2019nin (American Heart Association) \u00f6nerdi\u011fi, haftada iki kez ya\u011fl\u0131 bal\u0131k t\u00fcketiminin art\u0131k g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde ihtiyac\u0131n kar\u015f\u0131lanmas\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan yeterli olamad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 da belirtti. Amerikan halk\u0131n\u0131n ideal Omega-3 seviyesinin olduk\u00e7a alt\u0131nda Omega-3 indeksine sahip oldu\u011funu ve g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde k\u00fcresel \u0131s\u0131nman\u0131n sonucu olarak denizlerdeki bal\u0131k t\u00fcrlerinde azalan Omega-3 ya\u011f asitleri miktarlar\u0131ndan dolay\u0131 haftada iki kere bal\u0131k t\u00fcketiminin gerekli seviyeye ula\u015fmakta yeterli olamayaca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirtti\u011fi sunumunda, D\u00fcnya \u00fclkelerindeki Omega-3 indeksine de de\u011findi.<\/p>\n<p>Omega-3 indeksinin y\u00fczde 8\u2019den az olmamas\u0131 gerekti\u011fini, ideal Omega-3 seviyesinin y\u00fczde 12 ile Kuzey Avrupa \u00fclkelerinden Norve\u00e7\u2019te, Gr\u00f6nland\u2019da ve Japonya\u2019da oldu\u011funu, haftada ancak 5-6 kez ya\u011fl\u0131 bal\u0131klar\u0131n t\u00fcketilmesi ile bu seviyelere ula\u015f\u0131labilece\u011fini a\u00e7\u0131klayan Prof. Harris, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019nin ise y\u00fczde 4\u2019\u00fcn alt\u0131nda olmas\u0131yla en d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck Omega-3 indeksine sahip \u00fclkelerden biri oldu\u011funu s\u00f6yledi.<\/p>\n<p>Genel olarak Omega-3 seviyesinin d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck olmas\u0131n\u0131n, Kuzey Atlantik Denizi\u2019ndeki bal\u0131klarda bulunan y\u00fcksek miktar Omega-3 ya\u011f asitleri seviyesinin di\u011fer denizlerdeki bal\u0131k t\u00fcrlerinde olamayabilece\u011fi, yetersiz bal\u0131k t\u00fcketimi, pi\u015firme teknikleriyle bal\u0131ktaki Omega-3\u2019\u00fcn korunamamas\u0131 gibi nedenlerden kaynakl\u0131 olabilece\u011fi belirtildi.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;\u00d6zellikle \u00e7ocuklarda ve hamilelerde DHA daha \u00e7ok gerekli&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Prof. Dr. Hilal Mocan da \u00f6zellikle \u00e7ocuklarda ve hamilelerde DHA\u2019n\u0131n daha \u00e7ok gerekli oldu\u011funu belirtmesinin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra, destek olarak kullan\u0131lacak bal\u0131k ya\u011f\u0131n\u0131n do\u011fal ve saf olmas\u0131n\u0131n, katk\u0131 maddeleri i\u00e7ermemesinin, \u015feker, tatland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131 gibi \u00e7ocu\u011fu karbonhidrat t\u00fcketimine al\u0131\u015ft\u0131racak i\u00e7eriklerin olmamas\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6nemine de\u011findi.<\/p>\n<p>Bal\u0131k ya\u011f\u0131nda do\u011fal A ve D vitamini bulunmas\u0131na da de\u011finen Prof. Dr. Hilal Mocan, bu vitaminlerin v\u00fccudun ihtiya\u00e7 duydu\u011fu \u00f6nemli vitaminler oldu\u011funu, her iki vitaminin de ba\u011f\u0131\u015f\u0131kl\u0131k sisteminin normal fonksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131n korunmas\u0131nda rol oynad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131, g\u00fcnl\u00fck al\u0131ma uygun de\u011ferlerde kullan\u0131lmas\u0131n\u0131n herhangi bir sak\u0131ncas\u0131 olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirtti.<\/p>\n<p>\u00d6zellikle g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcz\u00fcn ciddi problemi olan D vitamini eksikli\u011finin \u00f6nlenmesi amac\u0131yla g\u00fcnl\u00fck ihtiyac\u0131 kar\u015f\u0131layabilen miktarda D vitamini i\u00e7eren bal\u0131k ya\u011f\u0131n\u0131n, ba\u015fka D vitamini takviyesine gerek duyulmadan hem Omega-3 ya\u011f asitleri EPA ve DHA hem de D vitamini deste\u011fi sa\u011flayabildi\u011fini s\u00f6yledi.<\/p>\n<p>Her iki uzman\u0131n da konu\u015fmalar\u0131nda de\u011findikleri \u00f6nemli bir ba\u015fka husus, Omega-3 takviyesi amac\u0131yla kullan\u0131lan bal\u0131k ya\u011f\u0131n\u0131n i\u00e7indeki EPA ve DHA miktarlar\u0131n\u0131n ne oldu\u011funun yan\u0131 s\u0131ra g\u00fcvenilirli\u011finin de sorgulanmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fi oldu.
