Ekim 2019 tarihinde yap\u0131lan ACES Europe adayl\u0131k ba\u015fvurusunun ard\u0131ndan yap\u0131lan resmi yaz\u0131\u015fmalar neticesinde federasyonun g\u00f6zlemci heyeti \u00f6nceki g\u00fcn \u00c7orlu\u2019ya gelerek incelemelerde bulunmu\u015ftu. ACES Europe Genel Sekreter Yard\u0131mc\u0131s\u0131 Luca Parnigiani, ACES Europe Balkanlardan Sorumlu Y\u00f6netim Kurulu \u00dcyesi Anatoliy Iliev, ACES Europe Genel M\u00fcd\u00fcr\u00fc Damayn Dikov, Bulgaristan Pazarc\u0131k \u015eehri Belediyesi Meclis \u00dcyesi Reni Kamberova ve beraberindeki heyet ile birlikte 2020 Avrupa Spor Kenti olmak i\u00e7in aday olan kentimize gelerek \u015fehrimizin birbirinden donan\u0131ml\u0131 spor tesislerini, spor yat\u0131r\u0131mlar\u0131n\u0131 ve farkl\u0131 spor dallar\u0131nda faaliyet g\u00f6steren sporcular\u0131 ziyaret ettikten sonra nihai karar\u0131n\u0131 verdi.<\/p>\n

\u00c7orlu Belediyesi\u2019ne g\u00f6nderilen resmi yaz\u0131 ile birlikte \u00c7orlu\u2019nun resmi olarak 2020 Avrupa Spor Kenti oldu\u011fu ilan edildi. Duyuru ve tebrik mahiyetindeki mektupta ayr\u0131ca \u00c7orlu\u2019daki sportif \u00f6zellikleri a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan sa\u011fl\u0131k, entegrasyon, e\u011fitim ve uyum gibi konularda ACES Europe\u2019un ana hedeflerine son derece uygun oldu\u011fu da belirtildi.<\/p>\n
ACES Europe Ba\u015fkan\u0131 Gian Francesco Lupattelli imzas\u0131yla g\u00f6nderilen mektupta \u00c7orlu Belediye Ba\u015fkan\u0131 Ahmet Sar\u0131kurt, 10 Aral\u0131k\u2019ta Br\u00fcksel\u2019deki Avrupa Parlamentosu\u2019nda d\u00fczenlenecek ACES Europe \u00d6d\u00fcl T\u00f6reni\u2019ne davet edildi.<\/p>\n

\u00c7orlu\u2019nun 2020 Avrupa Spor Kenti olmas\u0131 hem b\u00f6lge hem de \u00fclke a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan da ayr\u0131ca bir \u00f6nem ta\u015f\u0131yor. T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de \u0130stanbul\u2019dan sonra ilk defa \u00c7orlu resmi olarak Avrupa Spor Kenti olarak T\u00fcrkiye\u2019yi Avrupa\u2019da temsil etme gururuna eri\u015fecek. \u00c7orlu 2020 y\u0131l\u0131nda Avrupa Spor Kenti olarak spor alan\u0131nda ad\u0131n\u0131 s\u0131k\u00e7a duyuracak ve \u00f6rnek bir spor kenti olman\u0131n hakl\u0131 gururunu ya\u015fatacak.
