Filmin haz\u0131rl\u0131k s\u00fcrecinden bahseden Hayat Van Eck, \u201cNaim S\u00fcleymano\u011flu\u2019na benzedi\u011fimi g\u00f6rd\u00fckten sonra filme ba\u015fvurdum ve kabul edildim. Senaryo gere\u011fi v\u00fccudumu geli\u015ftirmem ve Bulgar T\u00fcrk\u00e7esi aksan\u0131 \u00f6\u011frenmem gerekiyordu. Bulgar T\u00fcrklerinin ve Naim S\u00fcleymano\u011flu\u2019nun hayat \u00f6yk\u00fcs\u00fc hakk\u0131nda da bilgi edindim. Bulgaristan\u2019da asimilasyon politikas\u0131 uygulan\u0131yordu. Bulgaristan\u2019da ya\u015fayan T\u00fcrk halk\u0131 kendi dillerini konu\u015fam\u0131yordu.
