Sa\u011fl\u0131k Bilimleri \u00dcniversitesi Rekt\u00f6r\u00fc Prof.Dr. Cevdet Erd\u00f6l, 1915 y\u0131l\u0131nda Mekteb-i T\u0131bbiyye-i \u015eahane\u2018ye kaydolan t\u0131bbiyelilerin \u00c7anakkale\u2019de \u015fehit d\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcklerini ve okulun bu y\u00fczden 1921 y\u0131l\u0131nda mezun veremedi\u011fini s\u00f6yledi.<\/p>\n
Sa\u011fl\u0131k Bilimleri \u00dcniversitesi Rekt\u00f6r\u00fc Prof. Dr. Cevdet Erd\u00f6l, konuyla alakal\u0131 yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131klamada, \u201cT\u0131bbiyeli ruhu her daim milli m\u00fccadele bilincinin i\u00e7inde kendine yer bulmu\u015ftur. \u00d6nc\u00fc meslekta\u015flar\u0131m\u0131z ya bayraklar\u0131 bayrak yapmak i\u00e7in d\u00f6k\u00fclm\u00fc\u015f kanlar\u0131n sahibi Mehmetlere \u015fifa olanlardan, ya da bu topraklar\u0131 vatan k\u0131lmak i\u00e7in \u015fehadet \u015ferbetini i\u00e7enlerden olmay\u0131 se\u00e7mi\u015flerdir\u201d dedi.<\/p>\n
1915 y\u0131l\u0131ndan itibaren Mekteb-i T\u0131bbiye-i \u015eahane \u00f6\u011frencilerinin \u00c7anakkale ba\u015fta olmak \u00fczere t\u00fcm cephelerdeki de\u011fi\u015fik hastanelere da\u011f\u0131t\u0131ld\u0131klar\u0131na dikkat \u00e7eken Erd\u00f6l, \u015f\u00f6yle devam etti:<\/p>\n
\u201c1915 y\u0131l\u0131nda t\u00fcm hocalar\u0131n ve \u00f6\u011frencilerin askeri birliklere da\u011f\u0131t\u0131lmas\u0131 nedeniyle Mekteb-i T\u0131bbiyye-i \u015eahane bir y\u0131l kapal\u0131 kald\u0131 ve buras\u0131 \u2019Hilal-i Ahmer Hastanesi\u2019 olarak hizmet verdi. 1. D\u00fcnya Sava\u015f\u0131 boyunca toplam 765 t\u0131p \u00f6\u011frencisinden 346\u2019s\u0131 \u015fehit d\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc ve geri d\u00f6nemedi. 1915 y\u0131l\u0131nda T\u0131bbiye\u2019ye kaydolan 1. s\u0131n\u0131f \u00f6\u011frencilerinin tamam\u0131 \u00c7anakkale\u2019de \u015fehit d\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc ve bu nedenle de Mekteb-i T\u0131bbiye-i \u015eahane 1921 y\u0131l\u0131nda hi\u00e7 mezun veremedi.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u00c7anakkale sava\u015f\u0131nda t\u0131bbiyelisinden m\u00fclkiyelisine, m\u00fcderrisinden dervi\u015fine ayd\u0131n ve e\u011fitimli s\u0131n\u0131f\u0131n da cepheye g\u00f6n\u00fcll\u00fc olarak m\u00fcdahil oldu\u011funa dikkat \u00e7eken Rekt\u00f6r Erd\u00f6l, \u201c\u00c7anakkale sava\u015f\u0131n\u0131n ba\u015flamas\u0131yla birlikte, T\u0131bbiye\u2019deki alet edevatlar bu b\u00f6lgeye nakledilmi\u015ftir. O d\u00f6nem i\u00e7in cephede tek d\u00fc\u015fman elindeki silahlar ile yaralar a\u00e7anlar de\u011fildi. Bula\u015f\u0131c\u0131 hastal\u0131klar da \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck zayiat sebebi oluyordu. Cephe gerisinde tahaffuzhane ad\u0131 verilen merkezler kuruldu\u011fu bilinmektedir. Bu merkezler harp \u00f6ncesi erlerin sa\u011fl\u0131k kontrol\u00fcn\u00fcn ve bula\u015f\u0131c\u0131 hastal\u0131klardan korunmak i\u00e7in a\u015f\u0131laman\u0131n yap\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 yerlerdir. \u00d6zellikle a\u015f\u0131lama \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131n muharip g\u00fcc\u00fcm\u00fcz\u00fcn heba olmas\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6n\u00fcne ge\u00e7ilmesinde katk\u0131s\u0131 b\u00fcy\u00fck olmu\u015ftur. Mekteb-i T\u0131bbiyye-i \u015eahane \u00f6\u011frencilerinin \u00c7anakkale\u2019de yakt\u0131\u011f\u0131 ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131zl\u0131k ate\u015fi, bu aziz topraklarda k\u0131yamete kadar yanacak ve harici-dahili d\u00fc\u015fmanlar\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131nda destan olarak duracakt\u0131r. Yeter ki millet\u00e7e bir ve beraber olal\u0131m\u201d ifadelerini kulland\u0131.<\/p>\n

Rekt\u00f6r Erd\u00f6l s\u00f6zlerini, \u201cBiliyoruz ki \u2019\u00c7anakkale ge\u00e7ilmez\u2019 diye hayk\u0131rabiliyorsak, bo\u011faz\u0131n s\u0131rtlar\u0131n\u0131 \u015ferefli kanlar\u0131yla sulayanlara \u00e7ok \u015fey bor\u00e7luyuz. Bizler bayra\u011f\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n \u015fehitlerimizin \u015ferefli kan\u0131ndan al oldu\u011funu benli\u011fine i\u015flemi\u015f olanlar\u0131z. Bizler u\u011fruna \u015fehit olmay\u0131 se\u00e7enlerden dolay\u0131 bu topra\u011fa vatan dedi\u011fimizi bilenlerdeniz.
